Abstract / Description

To better mitigate public health threats, DC government agencies and the Georgetown Climate Center worked to engage members of the most affected communities in conversations regarding planning, investments, and policy decisions that affect health outcomes and the degree of health inequities. The purpose of this report is to inform a new comprehensive heat plan, which will direct DC government agencies on how best to aid frontline communities and populations most at-risk during heat waves and extreme heat crises.
